3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 4/20/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Hassan Whiteside, C, Sacramento Kings ($5,400)

Finding some savings at center tonight could be a key part of roster construction and Hassan Whiteside offers that.

There are very clear top-tier options at point guard and power forward tonight, which may result in you needing to find savings at the other positions. This is where Mr. Whiteside comes into the equation, and he has a fantastic matchup you should be very interested in attacking. He is will be up against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are allowing the fourth-most (57.09) FanDuel points per game to opposing centers this season. This is just the start of why you should have eager eyes for Whiteside.

This game has a slate-high 239.0-point over/under and features both teams in the top 12 of the league when it comes to offensive pace. The Sacramento Kings are also going to be without Marvin Bagley III, Richaun Holmes, and Robert Woodard II, which gives them limited options among their big men. This is why we see Whiteside projected for 23.40 minutes and 33.3 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option on the slate.

Cole Anthony, PG, Orlando Magic ($5,600)

Cole Anthony has looked strong since returning from his injury and is worth rostering tonight.

The Orlando Magic continue to deal with a number of injuries but Anthony is not one of them anymore. He has been back in the lineup for seven games and has produced at or above one FanDuel point per minute in six of those games. This is due to the fact that Anthony is carrying a 32.2% offensive usage rate since the Magic are without several key players. Cole has also played 29 and 33 minutes in his last two games, which are the highest volume of minutes he's seen since returning from his injury.

This is very encouraging since more minutes equals more fantasy points, especially in a matchup such as the one versus the Atlanta Hawks tonight. This season, the Hawks are allowing 48.34 FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards, which is the 11th-most in the league. numberFire's projections have Anthony going for 31.66 minutes and 30.2 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option among point guards tonight.

Bruce Brown, SG, Brooklyn Nets ($4,800)

The Brooklyn Nets' injury situation is a mess tonight and that means they have plenty of value options.

Chris Chiozza, Nicolas Claxton, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Tyler Johnson, and Reggie Perry are all out tonight. This means the Nets could be down to only nine players in their rotation and we should be seeing Bruce Brown Jr. in the starting lineup. While Brown is only holding a 14.3% usage rate when those players are off the court, he is producing a solid 0.86 FanDuel points per minute. Brown is currently projected for 30.28 minutes and 25.3 FanDuel points tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans.

While that is under one FanDuel point per minute, Brown would still be exceeding his salary-based expectations since he is affordable at only $4,800. With a solid 233.5-point over/under, Brown and the other value options on the Nets should have plenty of opportunities to reach value tonight.
