NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 3/17/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. EST and features just four games.
Best of the Best
Nikola Vucevic ($10,000): The Orlando Magic are implied to score 117.0 points and are getting a pristine matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. The Magic are in a pace-up spot here, giving them a chance to rack up a few extra statistics throughout the game. Vucevic is averaging 1.50 FanDuel points per minute over the last month and has played 34 or more minutes in five out of the last six games, with the only non-34-minute game being against the Cleveland Cavaliers during a 120-91 victory in which his minutes were cut short. He has scored at least 40.2 FanDuel points in all but one game since the All-Star break, including six games of at least 50.0 points. If you're paying up on Sunday, he's a great dude to target, and he'll likely see less ownership than James Harden does.
