NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 3/1/19
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.
Best of the Best
LeBron James ($12,400): LeBron is up to nine games since returning from injury, and while two were absolute blowouts (decided by at least 23 points), the other seven have seen him post some ridiculous numbers. In that sample, he has averaged 62.1 FanDuel points in a massive 39.4 minutes per game. As only 4.5-point underdogs against the Milwaukee Bucks, we don't need to be too concerned about the Los Angeles Lakers getting blown out, and sitting as the number-10 seed in the West means we can expect them to continue giving LeBron as much work as he can handle. Yes, the Bucks are one of the league's premier defensive teams, but getting the potential for minutes into the 40s for a guy that sits seventh in the NBA in per-minute fantasy efficiency is just too good to pass up.
