NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 11/2/18

Coming off a career night, should Derrick Rose be on your fantasy radar again on Friday?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Best of the Best

Russell Westbrook ($11,700): Westbrook got somewhat limited minutes after missing the first two games of the season due to injury, but it's clear now that Brodie is back. After he was on pace to play over 36 minutes, until the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled their starters in a blowout earlier this week, Westbrook played a season-high 37.1 last night, also putting up his highest fantasy score of the year (59.6 FanDuel points). Despite that, his salary is down $300 from where it sat last night. He's the only player priced above $11,000 on Friday, but he is well worth paying up for, with our models projecting him for 6.0 more fantasy points than any other player on the slate.
