NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 1/8/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
Here, we'll put all of that together and take a look at who you should target on today's slate.
Best of the Best
DeMarcus Cousins (FanDuel Price: $10,900): Boogie has shown some ridiculous fantasy upside this season. He's one of only four players to post an 80-FanDuel-point game, and he also leads the league in games with at least 75 fantasy points (3) and games with at least 70 (4). Cousins' playing time had fallen a bit in recent weeks, but with at least 38 minutes in three of his last four, his value is way up. He also draws a plus matchup tonight against the Detroit Pistons, who allow above-average fantasy production to centers while ranking 22nd in rebound rate. This matchup becomes even better if Andre Drummond (who is questionable with a rib injury) can't suit up.
