NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 11/8/17

Steph Curry's Warriors have the highest implied total of the slate as usual. Can you trust him against the Timberwolves?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.

Best of the Best

Stephen Curry (FanDuel Price: $9,500) - On this five-game slate, Steph stands out as possibly the best expensive pick of the night. The game has an over/under of 229.5, the next highest sitting at just 213.5. Yes, the Golden State Warriors are 10.5-point favorites, but the Minnesota Timberwolves are 29th in defensive rating when excluding garbage time. That should allow Curry and the Warriors to score plenty of points even if the starters are limited to three quarters are so. Against Jeff Teague's defense, Curry makes for a sturdy play, and we project him for 4.93 FanDuel points per $1,000 in salary tonight, best of any expensive option above $8,200.
