5 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 1/25/17

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Matthew Dellavedova, PG, Milwaukee Bucks

FanDuel Price: $3,900
Projected FanDuel Points: 21.0
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.39

Matthew Dellavedova is back with a vengeance, as he's thrived over his first two starts since missing a dozen games. Although rookie Malcolm Brogdon has nearly matched the same number of minutes over the past two games, Dellavedova has clearly outplayed Brogdon by recording averages of 15.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 7 assists in 33.5 minutes.

Dellavedova owns the highest projected value at his position tonight and could do it again tonight, given his low salary.

Wayne Ellington, SG, Miami Heat

FanDuel Price: $3,800
Projected FanDuel Points: 20.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 5.31

The Miami Heat remain banged up. Tyler Johnson is not traveling with the team on their current road trip, which means Wayne Ellington will continue to see extended time on the court. Over his past two games, Ellington has logged 34.1 minutes and has averaged 12 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2.5 three-pointers.

Ellington and the Heat take on the Brooklyn Nets, who offer the best matchup to opposing shooting guards on Wednesday's slate.

Brandon Ingram, SF, Los Angeles Lakers

FanDuel Price: $4,400
Projected FanDuel Points: 19.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.41

Brandon Ingram is being given plenty of minutes lately, as he's played 30-plus minutes in five of his last six games. In the process, Ingram has been more aggressive on offense, with an average of 13.3 field goal attempts in his last three games. During that span, he has tallied 12 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.3 steals in 35.3 minutes.

According to our tools, Ingram is trending as the seventh-hottest player among small forwards on Wednesday's slate -- he's played 30.1% above his season average in terms of fantasy points per night over his last five games.

Nerlens Noel, PF, Philadelphia 76ers

FanDuel Price: $4,100
Projected FanDuel Points: 32.2
Projected FanDuel Value: 7.85

With both Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor out tonight, it will be the Nerlens Noel show once again. Noel is coming off an impressive all-around performance in which he recorded 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Furthermore, Noel made 8-of-10 from the field and was 3-of-3 from the free throw line.

Noel boasts the highest projected value among all players on tonight's jam-packed slate. With his salary seeing only a minimal bump from yesterday, he is worth considering as a strong value play.

Tristan Thompson, C, Cleveland Cavaliers

FanDuel Price: $4,700
Projected FanDuel Points: 22.4
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.77

Coming off their most head-scratching loss of the season, there is no doubt that the Cleveland Cavaliers will be operating on all cylinders tonight. Tristan Thompson is a prime candidate to show the biggest improvement, as he only put up 2 points and 7 rebounds in Cleveland's 124-122 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Cavs have the fourth-highest implied total at 114 points tonight and will play the Sacramento Kings, who have the fifth-worst defensive efficiency among all teams on tonight's slate.
