NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 10/29/16

Kawhi Leonard is playing a big role this year for the San Antonio Spurs, and he has a solid matchup tonight. Which other players are worth targeting for NBA DFS?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and depending on injury news, even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer and a handful of other awesome tools to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with a primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's slate.

Best of the Best

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($9,500): Antetokounmpo really started to break out last season, averaging 16.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals -- good for 35.1 FanDuel points per game. He has seen a sizable bump in fantasy production each season he has been in the league, and the 21-year-old had a huge first game this year, scoring 31 points with 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. He draws a good matchup today against a Brooklyn Nets team that ranked 29th in defensive rating last season. The Nets allowed top-11 fantasy production to opponents at each position, meaning that wherever Antetokounmpo sees most of his minutes tonight, he is in a great spot.
