Again, a few surprising teams to see this low on the list, including one of my go-to squads in the Hornets. The combination of Larry "Grandmama" Johnson and Alonzo Mourning seems like a high-quality tandem at first glance, but with a pair of 110 and 106 defensive ratings, respectively, Charlotte was simply not a complete enough team to warrant a higher ranking.

Outside of the Hornets, there were a number of other fan favorites in this group, such as Glen Rice, Danny Manning, Tim Hardaway and current Magic head coach, Scott Skiles. While there are a number of sharp-shooters and power-dunkers listed above, there's not a single defensive stopper in this grouping. Of all the players on teams ranked between 15th and 19th, not one of them posted a defensive rating better than 106 and, although flashy dunks and three-point shooting is what NBA Jam was built on, it's incredibly difficult to win in this classic game without quick-hands to create steals or a legitimate shot-blocker.
