5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 2/22/19

Another guy who is trying to find his niche with his new team is shooting guard Wesley Matthews. The journeyman player who is on his fifth team (do the New York Knicks really count as one of his teams?) played his first game for the Indiana Pacers on February 11 and has been OK at best through two games.

Though he has started both games, Matthews has scored just eight points in each and disappointed fantasy players with 17.5 and 17.6 FanDuel points in those contests, respectively. He'll look to have his first big game with his new team tonight as the Pacers host the New Orleans Pelicans.

Matthews' history against the Pels has been rather chaotic. If you take a look at his game log against them since joining the Dallas Mavericks, you'll almost certainly be scared off of using him in 50/50s. Thrown in there, though, are some very solid performances, including a 27.9-FanDuel-point effort this season.

He'll look to try and match that output this evening against a Pelicans defense that is giving up the seventh-most FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards over their past seven contests. We have West projected for 21.3 FanDuel points tonight.
