3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 10/23/18

The Philadelphia 76ers will likely be without Ben Simmons tonight, as he's dealing with a back injury. While Markelle Fultz will get the start at point guard if Simmons is ruled out, T.J. McConnell perhaps offers better value for DraftKings players.

McConnell's salary sits at just $3,800, $1,100 below Fultz. Yet, he could still push for 30 minutes of run and the output that comes with it against the Detroit Pistons this evening. McConnell played one game with Simmons out last year, a 130-111 win over the Orlando Magic, in which the pass-first point man went off for 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 13 assists.

He likely won't see the 37 minutes of playing time tonight as he did in that game, but he should easily see 25-30 as the main guard backup for the Sixers. We have him projected for 20.8 DraftKings points this evening. While that may not sound like much, it equates to a solid return on investment of 5.5 DraftKings points per $1,000.
