3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 10/22/18

Largely the same team that finished third in the Western Conference a season ago, few outlets predicted the Trail Blazers to reach the playoffs this year. ESPN had them ranked 10th in the West in their summer forecast. Bleacher Report similarly had them 10th, while FiveThirtyEight's continuously updated predictive models have them finishing 40-42 and out of the postseason.

Damian Lillard and the Blazers are doing their best to prove those prognostications wrong. They pulled away for a nine-point victory against LeBron James and the Lakers on opening night, and proceeded to take down the Spurs by 13 a few days later. They'll look to make it three in a row tonight when they host John Wall and the Washington Wizards.

Lillard has balled out in his recent games against Washington. He's put up at least 46 DraftKings points per game in four of his past five against the Wizards, scoring an average of 31.0 points per game with 3.8 triples.

While tonight's total of 226 isn't the highest on the slate, it still makes this game one to target for fantasy purposes, especially because the Blazers are just five-point favorites. It wouldn't be surprising to see Dame inch towards 40 minutes in this game, a threshold he has crossed in each of his past two games against Washington.

We have him projected for 43.6 DraftKings points tonight, a number which equates to a return of 5.1 DraftKings points per $1,000 salary.
