3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 10/18/18

Like his teammate Fultz, Sixers forward Robert Covington played far below his talent level on Tuesday night. He went just 3-for-10 from the field (2-for-7 from three), and scored eight points with six rebounds. His only saving grace was adding three combined steals and blocks, but even then, 21.5 DraftKings points aren't going to cut it at a salary of $4,700. On the plus side, however, he played 34 minutes and should continue to see heavy run throughout the rest of the season.

He gets to take on the Bulls tonight. In his career, he has a 21.5% usage rate against them, makring his seventh-highest rate against any team he's faced. Covington scored at least 29.8 DraftKings points in two of his three contests against Chicago last season, finishing with well-rounded averages of 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.0 block, and 2.7 treys.

We have him projected for 32.8 DraftKings points this evening, amounting to an average of just under 7.0 points per $1,000. That type of performance would make you forget his season-opening dud in a hurry.
