3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 3/27/18

Justise Winslow, SF/PF, Miami Heat

The Miami Heat were already short-handed in the frontcourt with Hassan Whiteside out, but Bam Adebayo will join him on the sideline for tonight's game, opening up some big minutes in a plus-matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since Whiteside last played, Adebayo has averaged 23.4 minutes per game, and those minutes will likely be dispersed among Justise Winslow, James Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, and Jordan Mickey.

Johnson and Olynyk were already thriving in around 30 minutes per game, and they become even stronger plays with this news. The dude who stands to see the biggest boost to his fantasy outlook is Winslow, who goes from barely being worth a mention to a strong punt play in both formats. He could very easily push for 30-plus minutes, which should be plenty in a matchup against the Cavs.

Cleveland has allowed top-five fantasy production to both small forwards and power forwards this season, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise given their 29th-ranked defensive efficiency. Winslow is averaging 0.82 DraftKings points per minute on the year, and that could be boosted even further by the advantageous matchup. He needs only 21.5 DraftKings points at this price tag, a clip he could hit in 26 minutes at that per-minute rate.

Olynyk and Johnson offer higher-upside ways to take advantage of Adebayo's absence, but don't forget about Winslow as a cheap way to get exposure to this game. He is a viable punt play in either format.
