3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/23/18

Dewayne Dedmon was dominant in his first two starts and came crashing down to earth in the last game before the All-Star break, with an end result of 31.5 DraftKings points and 28 minutes per game in three starts. Considering his strong 1.03 DraftKings points per minute on the year, that is about what we should expect from Dedmon going forward, with the upside for more in the right matchup.

That makes him a very appealing target against an Indiana Pacers team that has allowed the second-most DraftKings points per game to opposing centers.

The fact that we have only seen three games of Dedmon as a starter makes him a tough dude to project tonight. He averaged nearly 30 minutes in the first two starts, but his third start resulted in the limited playing time that made him such a frustrating fantasy asset for most of the first half. Maybe that is just how it will be going forward, or maybe that was a result of the blowout nature of the game. The Atlanta Hawks were down by 23 entering the fourth quarter -- a quarter in which Dedmon logged just two mintues.

If we knew Dedmon had a floor of 28 minutes in competitive games, that would make him an appealing cash-game play at this price point. We can't feel confident in that yet, though, which makes him more of an intriguing tournament play than anything.
