DeMarcus Cousins, C, New Orleans Pelicans

Price: $11,500

DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis have both been dominant fantasy producers for the Pelicans this season. Each rank within the top-six in FanDuel scoring, and when they draw a good matchup like they have tonight against the Chicago Bulls, the challenge becomes more about identifying which one is in a better spot.

The Bulls are undeniably a good fantasy matchup in the frontcourt, allowing the NBA's 7th-most points and 3rd-most rebounds per game, while ranking 24th in defensive rating and 20th in rebound rate. They also allow a top-10 field goal percentage to opponents in the restricted area, an spot on the court where Boogie and Davis both rank top-7 in field goal attempts per game.

The big difference in this matchup comes down to where the two get up their non-paint shots. Davis does a fair amount of work from the mid-range, averaging 4.8 field goal attempts per game from there, and only averages 1.9 three-point attempts per game. Cousins tends to stay out of the mid-range, averaging 1.9 attempts per game, and he's averaging 6.1 three-point attempts per game, which is on pace to be a career high.

The mid-range is one of the few areas Chicago has defended well this year -- they're allowing a bottom-10 field goal percentage, while also getting burned for a top-10 field goal percentage on three-pointers shot above the break (where 5.8 of Cousins' three-point attempts per game have come from). Both guys have a ton of upside, but the edge goes to Cousins.
