'Tis the Jrue Holiday Season

Speaking of riding the wave, if you were to guess which New Orleans Pelicans players were able to accumulate more than 170 FanDuel points over the last seven days, your educated guess would lead you to DeMarcus Cousins, maybe followed up with some Anthony Davis, right?

Well, you’d be correct with Boogie, you’d be wrong with Brow, and you would have forgotten all about Jrue Holiday.

That’s right, of the nine NBA players able to rack up at least 170 points over the last seven days, Holiday finds his name shuffled in there amongst the usual suspects (studs like LeBron, Russ, Harden and Giannis) thanks to a hot hand that got to cooking last Sunday when he dropped 34 points against the 76ers on 11-of-21 shooting, including five three-pointers, and finished with 52 FanDuel points. Then, on the very next night, he dropped 37 points on the road against the Rockets on 16-of-21 shooting, for 62 FanDuel points.

Pretty impressive stuff from Holiday, who’s now scored 24 or more points in six of his last 10 games while averaging 40 FanDuel points. It’s a hot streak that’s also being plated with nice sides (5.5 assists and 1 steal per game) and at an affordable price of just $6,900.

The equation adds up here in terms of salary and production (note: even more usage when Brow misses time) for a talented point guard getting all the minutes he can handle on a team ranked fourth in points per game and sixth in pace. Enjoy the Holiday season.
