Malik Monk, PG/SG, Charlotte Hornets

DraftKings Salary: $3,700

After watching fellow rookie Jayson Tatum go off last night, Malik Monk will look to impress in an expanded role tonight. The Charlotte Hornets are banged up to begin the year, with Nicolas Batum, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and Michael Carter-Williams all out. As a result, the only real depth behind Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb, and Marvin Williams is Monk and Dwayne Bacon.

Given that Charlotte often plays Williams at the four, Monk could be looking at as many minutes as he can handle off the bench. The matchup against a slow-paced Detroit Pistons team isn't ideal, but the opportunity is certainly there for the rookie.
