Doug McDermott, New York Knicks

After the New York Knicks let go of Carmelo Anthony, their primary offensive weapon from over the past six years, they now need all the scoring help they can get. They have brought on Tim Hardaway Jr. and Michael Beasley to fill the void, but Doug McDermott also figures to be in the mix.

Through his first 44 games last season, McDermott was putting up career marks of 10.2 points and 3.0 rebounds in 24.5 minutes. His midseason trade to the Thunder led to less minutes and stunted his breakout year. Starting anew with the Knicks could rekindle McDermott's untapped development.

Despite a recent report that suggests McDermott may be coming off the bench to start the season, he could very well find his way into the starting lineup as the campaign progresses.
