3. Malik Monk, Kentucky Wildcats

In 2016-17, Monk was an elite scorer for the Kentucky Wildcats, averaging 19.8 points on 45% shooting, 39.7% from three, and 82.2% from the line. He finished the year seventh in the nation in points (754), while leading the SEC in three-pointers (104) and three-point percentage. Altogether, he rated out as the second-most productive player in the SEC, with 5.8 win shares, but the projected top-10 pick isn't without his faults.

There's some question as to whether his defensive game makes him a lottery-level talent. Seeing that his defensive rating (100.7) and defensive box plus-minus (1.3) both ranked 11th (of 14 players) on the Kentucky team this season, the concern is justified.

That being said, just as a Jayson Tatum can improve his shooting, Monk could certainly take his defense to a new level, so the New York Knicks -- or, for that matter, any other team in the 6-to-10 range -- shouldn't be afraid to grab a potentially high-volume producer.
