Klay Thompson, SG, Golden State Warriors

FanDuel Price: $7,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The shooting guard position is loaded on Monday and is likely one of the slots many players will pay up for.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden are two of the higher scoring options, while DeMar DeRozan may see his ownership rate spike if Kyle Lowry is unable to suit up. Dion Waiters has been an attractive mid-range option recently, along with the Houston Rockets newly-acquired sharp-shooter Louis Williams.

If you factor in that Kevin Durant will likely be back after a one-game absence -- giving the impression of fewer shots available for Klay Thompson -- many will look for a more flashy option than the Golden State Warriors shooting guard.

Why You Should Use Him:

The matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers is sneaky good for Thompson -- Philly allows the sixth-most fantasy points to shooting guards of any team playing Monday. The combo of Gerald Henderson and Nik Stauskas are a weak spot for the improved Sixers' defense, which Bradley Beal exposed on Friday for 40 points and 50.8 FanDuel points.

Overall, the Philly defense allows 106.9 points per game, 8th-most in the NBA, while opponents shoot 36.3% from three and they deceivingly play at the 5th-highest pace in the Association. Combine that with the Warriors' league-leading rate and the potential for points is off the charts.

Thompson has also stepped up his game over the past month, averaging 27.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in his last 10 games. He has averaged 36.8 fantasy points with two 50-plus and four 40-plus fantasy point nights during the stretch.
