Paul George, SF, Indiana Pacers

FanDuel Price: $7,400

Oh yeah, the rest of the slate. Amid the ridiculous Vegas totals of the Warriors-Rockets game, I almost forgot that we have been treated to a beautiful nine-game slate. The Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers will face off in what is expected to be a high-scoring affair, with a 220-point over/under. That is the second-highest on the slate and the second-highest over/under Indiana has seen this season, even if it pales in comparison to the Golden State-Houston game.

The Pacers are projected for 111.5 points, which is 5.7 points higher than their season scoring average and is 3 points higher than any team not playing in Houston tonight. In games Indiana has had an implied team total of at least 111.5 points this season, Paul George has averaged 39.3 FanDuel points, up from his average of 35.5 in all other games.

George has played in just one game with a 220-point over/under over the past two seasons, so for a larger sample size, let's expand to games he played in with at least a 215-point over/under. He has averaged an impressive 39.4 FanDuel points during said games.

In addition to a beautiful game script, George will benefit from a plus-matchup tonight. The Lakers have allowed the third-most FanDuel points to opposing small forwards this season, thanks in large part to the efforts of rookie Brandon Ingram. Ingram has looked largely overwhelmed in his rookie season, but never more so than on the defensive end. He ranks dead last among 80 qualified small forwards in defensive real plus-minus this season.

If Luol Deng again sits out tonight, Ingram could be forced into huge minutes, as he was in his last game, when he logged 36 minutes against the Denver Nuggets. If Deng sits out, George is close to a must-play at his depressed salary.
