Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG, Detroit Pistons

FanDuel Price: $5,900

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Dwyane Wade will likely be the chalk at shooting guard with Jimmy Butler out. After him, Devin Booker and Buddy Hield both figure to be fairly popular plays. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope isn't often sought after by daily fantasy players, and in a game with significant blowout risk, that seems unlikely to change.

Why You Should Use Him:

KCP has enjoyed his time on the West Coast thus far, shooting 67 percent from beyond the arc on his way to 23.5 points per game on the Detroit Pistons' road trip. He's posted very strong numbers over his past five games, averaging 30.5 FanDuel points, while playing 40 minutes per contest.

He'll take on the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, who have struggled to defend shooting guards. They rank worse against two-guards than any other position from a fantasy perspective, allowing the eighth-most FanDuel points per game to the position.

This should be a huge pace-up game for Detroit, who ranks 26th in that department this season. The Warriors have played at the second-fastest pace, and this game should provide plenty of fast break opportunities -- an area where Caldwell-Pope has thrived. He has easily led Detroit in transition scoring over the past two seasons and has posted a 61.4 percent effective field goal percentage (eFG%) in transition this season, up 9.8 percent from his season eFG%.

He has found success in previous meetings against Golden State, which backs up what the numbers suggest about this matchup. Earlier this season, Caldwell-Pope dropped 34.8 FanDuel points on 50 percent shooting, and he has averaged 31.4 FanDuel points against the Warriors over the past two seasons.

The likelihood of a blowout is high, making KCP a risky option outside of tournaments. His scoring upside is high, though. If the Pistons can remain within striking distance, he could put up some big numbers at low ownership.
