Blue Jays shutting down Aaron Sanchez (finger)
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Aaron Sanchez will not pitch again this season.
Sanchez has dealt with a myriad of finger issues in his career, from blisters to getting them caught in a suitcase zipper. The latter caused him to go on the 60-day disabled list earlier this season. The Jays are looking into surgery options for him this offseason.
Sanchez's 2018 season has been forgettable. He ends the year with a 4-6 record, 4.89 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and a 1.48 K-to-BB ratio.
