Reds' Jesse Winker to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.
Winker has been dealing with lingering shoulder discomfort and he will take the necessary steps to address it. Phillip Ervin figures to continue drawing starts in the outfield for the Reds, at least until Scott Schebler (shoulder) returns.
Winker averaged 9.0 FanDuel points per game this season while slashing .299/.405/.431 with 7 home runs, 43 RBI, and 38 runs scored across 334 plate appearances (89 games).
