Nationals' Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) returning on Friday
Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) will return to the rotation for Friday's meeting with the Atlanta Braves.
Inflammation in his throwing shoulder has kept Strasburg sidelined since June 10, but he has made two Minor League rehab starts, and should be back to a full workload very soon.
Strasburg has a 3.46 ERA, 29.1% strikeout rate and 1.09 WHIP over his first 13 starts this season. numberFire's models project him to notch a 3.78 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 27.7% strikeout rate over the remainder of the season.
