Johnny Cueto's start pushed to Wednesday, Derek Holland on Giants' hill Tuesday
San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto's next start has been pushed to Wednesday's series finale against the Chicago Cubs.
Cueto was initially scheduled to start at home on Tuesday night but the Giants want to give him an extra day of rest as they continue to monitor his elbow following a sprain that sidelined the right-hander for over two months. In his return to the rotation last Thursday, Cueto was beaten up for 5 runs on 10 hits over five innings. Derek Holland will toe the rubber for San Francisco against the Cubs instead on Tuesday.
Cueto is averaging 34.8 FanDuel points in six starts this season. numberFire's models project him to spin a 3.65 ERA with 32 strikeouts and 11 walks over the rest of the year.
