Toronto's Lourdes Gurriel Jr. making MLB debut on Friday
Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is making his first major league start on Friday against the New York Yankees.
Gurriel was called up from Double-A today, and will crack the lineup right away at second base. He's hitting ninth against right-hander Sonny Gray. Devon Travis heads to the bench, and Gurriel could cut into his playing time moving forward.
In Double-A, Gurriel was hitting .347/.382/.510 with 1 home runs and 11 RBIs across 55 plate appearances. He's not eligible on FanDuel tonight.
