Padres' Christian Villanueva (hand) forced from Wednesday's game
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune's Jeff Sanders, San Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva exited Wednesday's game early with a bruised hand.
Villanueva was hit with a pitch in the fifth inning. He left a couple innings later and went for x-rays, which came back negative. He's considered day-to-day with a bruised hand. It was the fourth time Villanueva's been hit this season, which has him considering options for protective gear moving forward. Chase Headley and Cory Spangenberg will hold down third until he's okay to return.
Villanueva ended the game with 15.4 FanDuel points. He's averaging 14.0 per game on the year while hitting .340 in 60 plate appearances.
