Shohei Otani not in lineup for Angels versus Athletics
Los Angeles Angels pitcher/hitter Shohei Otani is absent from the lineup against the Oakland Athletics on Friday night.
What It Means:
The Japanese sensation went 1-5 with a double yesterday in his MLB debut. The A's are pitching southpaw Sean Manaea, so the lefty Otani will sit with Chris Young starting at designated hitter.
Otani is projected to hit .272 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI in 373 plate appearances the rest of the season.
