Red Sox tab Chris Sale as Opening Day starter
The Boston Red Sox have named Chris Sale as their starting pitcher for an Opening Day meeting with the Tampa Bay Rays.
What It Means:
It is no surprise at all that the left-handed ace is atop the rotation, and he'll be followed up by David Price and Rick Porcello in the team's next two starts.
numberFire's models project Sale for a 3.01 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 30.5% strikeout rate in the 2018 season.
