Cliff Pennington blasts three-run home run in Blue Jays' victory
Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Cliff Pennington hit a three-run blast Thursday as the Blue Jays bested the Atlanta Braves, 5-0.
It was the back end of the order that did the damage against Braves' starter Matt Wisler. Of the four hitters batting left-handed against Wisler, three had multi-hit games. The lone exception was leadoff batter Ben Revere.
Pennington has been far from great this year, but the stars aligned Thursday. He holds a 31.5 hard-hit percentage against righties, and Wisler's xFIP against lefties is 6.69.
