Angels' Garrett Richards (biceps) could start Monday
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Garrett Richards could make his return to the mound on Monday, according to the LA Times' Pedro Moura.
Out since April with a nerve issue in his right biceps muscle, Richards' return will be big for an Angels team currently 1.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot, which is owned by the Minnesota Twins. They are set to face the Oakland Athletics in Oakland on Monday afternoon.
Richards has only made one big league start in 2017, but he recently pitched a rehab start at Triple-A Salt Lake, where he struck out a pair in 2 shutout innings. If he can return to form, Richards could be the 15-game winner we saw just 2 years ago.
