Travis Shaw (foot) expected back Tuesday for Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw (foot) is expected to return for Tuesday's series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to manager Craig Counsell.
Shaw was held out of Sunday's contest after he fouled a ball off his foot in Saturday's game. The Brewers are off Monday, but it sounds like he'll be back on the hot corner for Tuesday's tilt. In 443 plate appearances (105 games) this season, Shaw is slashing .292/.363/.552 with 25 home runs, 78 RBI, and 63 runs scored.
numberFire's models project Shaw to turn in a .285 batting average with 7 home runs, 25 RBI, and 24 runs scored in 171 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
