Rockies' Greg Holland blows third save of season
Colorado Rockies closer Greg Holland allowed four runs as he blew his third save of the season in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians.
After Holland entered the game with a 1-0 lead in the ninth, it was all downhill from there. The righty walked two batters and allowed two hits, the latter a Yan Gomes walk-off home run.
In 44 appearances and 42 innings, Holland is now 2-3 with 34 saves in 37 opportunities this season. He still has a 2.93 FIP on the year, but in his last two outings he's managed 2 losses with 6 runs allowed in 2 1/3 innings.
