Jhoulys Chacin (back) scratched from Padres' lineup on Tuesday
San Diego Padres pitcher Jhoulys Chacin has been scratched from Tuesday's scheduled start against the New York Mets due to back tightness.
What It Means:
Chacin is expected to pitch Wednesday instead. Kyle Lloyd will take his place on the hill Tuesday in what will be the first major league appearances for the 26-year-old right-hander.
Chacin owns a 4.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 20.0 strikeout percentage (K%) over 114 innings this season while posting a 9-7 record in 20 starts. numberFire's models project him to turn in a 4.17 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 17.0 K% in 73 1/3 innings for the rest of the year.
