Jeff Mathis at catcher as Diamondbacks open home set with Braves
Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Jeff Mathis is starting on Monday versus the Atlanta Braves.
Mathis will catch Diamondbacks right-hander Zack Greinke while batting eighth versus Braves righty R.A. Dickey. He hasn't played since last Friday. Chris Herrmann and Chris Iannetta will both be available off the bench for Arizona.
numberFire's models project Mathis to score just 6.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,200 on Monday night, but the Diamondbacks are heavy favorites with an attractive implied total (5.19) in a matchup with a strong park factor (1.110), so he could be worth the punt.
