Jon Lester pitches seven strong innings as Cubs win again
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester fired seven innings of one-run ball Monday in the Cubs' 4-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves.
The Cubs have won all four of their second half games so far and after coming off one of his worst outings of the season, Lester was dominant on Monday. He only issued one walk while striking out six in his time on the hill.
Our models project Lester for a 3.95 ERA and 1.23 WHIP, with 76 strikeouts over 84.4 innings remaining this season.
