Brewers' Stephen Vogt scheduled for MRI after collision at home plate

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Stephen Vogt will undergo an MRI Tuesday following a collision at home plate in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

What It Means:

"Very, very lucky to not have a concussion," Vogt admitted on Monday. The concern is his left knee, but hopefully today's MRI doesn't reveal any structural damage. Consider the 32-year-old backstop day-to-day for now.

Vogt is slashing .222/.291/.405 with 8 dingers in 206 plate appearances (66 games) this season. numberFire's models project him to record a .239 batting average with another 2 dongs in 80 more plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
