Rangers' Josh Hamilton (knee) not cleared to run yet
Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton (knee) has yet to be cleared to resume running.
He has taken batting practice and played catch without any setbacks, but his knee remains too sore to run on. He can be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday but might be limited to pinch-hitting.
Hamilton's stat line this year is dreadful, and the Rangers would do well to solely use him off the bench as they go forward. He's not even getting on base anymore, with an OBP of .296. He's a situational player at best through the end of the 2015 season.
