Tanner Roark

Tanner Roark will not start Thursday for Nationals

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Tanner Roark, who was scheduled to start Wednesday's postponed game against the New York Mets, will not start on Thursday.

What It Means:

Wednesday's contest was rained out. Rather than push Roark to Thursday, the Nationals will roll out Gio Gonzalez to conclude the series, with Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg going up against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday and Saturday. Roark and Joe Ross are their options for that final Sunday pre-All-Star break outing.

Our models projected Roark for 26.6 FanDuel points at a salary of $7,600 on Wednesday. The Reds have a similar team wOBA (.330) to the Mets (.328), but Sunday's game will be at Cincy's Great American Ballpark (1.010 park factor) instead of Nationals Park (.986).
