Oakland's Jed Lowrie not starting on Thursday

Oakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie is not in Thursday's starting lineup against the Houston Astros.

What It Means:

Lowrie takes a seat in favor of Adam Rosales at short and Chad Pinder at second. Rosales will enter the lineup and hit ninth against David Paulino.

With a 1.34 nERD, Lowrie has proven to be Oakland's second-best hitter on the team this season. Our projections expect him to hit 6 home runs with a .275 average the rest of the year.
