Rockies' Jon Gray (foot) will begin rehab assignment on Wednesday
Colorado Rockies pitcher Jon Gray (foot) is set to begin a rehab assignment Wednesday with High-A Lancaster.
Gray is expected to need multiple outings in the minors as he's been out of action since mid-April due to a stress fracture in his left foot.
He only has 12 innings under his belt this season, but Gray broke out in a big way in 2016, pitching to a 3.72 SIERA, 12.1% swinging-strike rate and 26.0% strikeout rate. We project him to post a 4.61 ERA the rest of the way with 45 punchouts in 54 innings.
