Diamondbacks starting Yasmany Tomas in left field Thursday night
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas is starting for the Arizona Diamondbacks and batting fifth on Thursday against the Miami Marlins.
What It Means:
Tomas has had minor injury concern of late with hip tightness, but Wednesday's day off was simply a maintenance day for the slugger. His presence returns Daniel Descalso to the bench on Thursday as Tomas gets to take on Marlins starter Jeff Locke.
Tomas has struggled against left-handers in 2017, batting just .192/.236/.365 against them in 55 plate appearances with two home runs, five runs scored, and three RBI's.
