Tanner Roark turns in seven scoreless innings for Nationals
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Tanner Roark fired off seven scoreless innings Monday in a 3-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants.
Roark yielded six hits and one walk while fanning six batters. He's been superb in consecutive starts after getting smacked for seven earned runs on May 18 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 30-year-old right-hander will carry a 5-2 record into a road date with the Oakland Athletics in his next outing.
numberFire's models project Roark to twirl a 3.92 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 17.5 strikeout percentage over the rest of the season.
