Cubs' Jon Lester gets shelled in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers
Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester allowed six runs over only 3 1/3 innings on Sunday as the Cubs fell 9-4 to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Lester allowed seven hits and two walks with only three strikeouts, also giving up a pair of home runs, moving to 3-3 on the season.
This has been a bit of a down year for Lester, with a 3.86 ERA, 3.73 SIERA, 24.5 percent strikeout rate, 8.4 percent walk rate and 1.33 WHIP through 11 games (61 1/3 innings pitched) in 2017.
