Colorado Rockies pitcher Jon Gray (foot) hopes to shed his walking boot for a bullpen session this weekend.
What It Means:
He has been throwing some bullpen sessions with his walking boot on, but he will obviously have to get in some work without it before thinking about moving on to some rehab starts.
numberFire's models project Gray for a 4.47 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 66 innings at the big league level over the remainder of the season.
