Dodgers' Joc Pederson suffers neck strain in outfield collision Tuesday
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson was diagnosed with a neck strain following a collision in the outfield on Tuesday night.
Pederson stumbled head-first into the right-center field wall, but he isn't expected to need to spend any time on the disabled list after clearing the MLB's concussion protocol. The 25-year-old outfielder was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts on Tuesday as the Dodgers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in walk-off fashion in the 13th inning.
Through 35 games and 123 plate appearances this season, Pederson has hit a pair of home runs with 11 RBI's while going just 21-for-105 (.200) at the plate. His OPS has gone from .847 last season to .623 so far in 2017.
