Wilson Ramos (knee) looking good in Rays' batting practice Friday
Tampa Bay Rays catcher Wilson Ramos (knee) had a "very impressive" round of batting practice Friday, manager Kevin Cash said.
Ramos is hoping to be ready to begin a rehab assignment before the end of the month and could be ready to serve as a designated hitter for the Rays potential in the next six weeks or so.
Ramos slashed .307/.354/.496 with a career-best .361 wOBA through 523 plate appearances for the Washington Nationals in 2016. He tallied 22 home runs and 80 RBI's on the year, both of which also represented career-highs.
