Brewers' Travis Shaw leaves game with finger injury

Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw was forced to leave Sunday's game against the New York Mets with a right index finger injury.

What It Means:

Shaw left in the top of the seventh inning with the finger injury. It forced Hernan Perez to slide over to third while Jesus Aguilar came in to play first base and Eric Thames covered Perez's outfield spot. If Shaw were to miss any additional time, Perez will likely earn a few starts over at third base.

Shaw is batting .283 with a .863 OPS and .354 wOBA in 147 plate appearances this season.
